Backyard Composite Deck

Composite Decking

The Brief

The client had an outdoor area that just wasn't being used. A bare, uninviting backyard that had potential but needed something to bring it to life. They'd had a timber deck before at a previous property and spent more time maintaining it than enjoying it so this time around they wanted something that looked just as good but without the ongoing hassle.

What We Did

We installed a full composite deck that completely transformed the outdoor space. From the framing right through to the finished surface, everything was done properly solid substructure, quality boards, and a clean hidden-fix system so there are no visible screws anywhere. The hidden-fixing system concealed all fasteners, creating an uncluttered and premium appearance that the client absolutely loved.

We helped them pick the right colour and finish to complement their home something earthy and warm that felt natural without looking like it was trying too hard. The result was a non-slip surface with virtually no maintenance required meaning they can actually spend their weekends enjoying the space instead of oiling and sanding it.

Why composite over timber?

Honestly, for most Aussie backyards it just makes more sense. Composite decking is specifically designed for the Australian climate low maintenance, easy to install, and built to last. No warping, no splintering, no termites. You hose it down every now and then and that's about it. For a family that actually wants to use their outdoor area rather than maintain it, it's a no-brainer.

The Result

What was once a neglected backyard became the favourite part of the house. The client now uses it year-round for entertaining and everyday family life. Clean lines, great finish, and built to last for decades. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every job.
