Residential Container Home Build

The Brief

A client came to us wanting something different. They'd seen container homes popping up around Australia and loved the industrial-modern aesthetic but they wanted it to feel like a proper home, not just a converted box. The goal was a comfortable, well-finished single-level dwelling that looked great and was built to last.

What We Did

We worked with the client from the ground up starting with design and council requirements, through to the full build and fit-out. The structure was built using quality shipping containers, properly modified and engineered to meet Australian building standards. We handled the insulation, internal linings, windows, doors, and all the finishing touches that turn a steel shell into a liveable, comfortable home.

One thing we always make sure of with container builds is the insulation. Getting the insulation right is critical especially in the Australian climate so we make sure every build is properly lined and ventilated so the space stays comfortable year-round, not like an oven in summer.

The Result

The client ended up with a modern, stylish home that genuinely turned heads in the neighbourhood. Clean lines on the outside, warm and well-finished on the inside. The final look showed no evidence of the original shipping containers cladding and internal lining completely transformed the steel structure into something that felt purpose-built.

They were stoked with the result, and honestly so were we. It's one of those projects that reminds you why we do what we do.
